Cohen's Fashion Optical is a franchise occupying a ~2,000 sqft suite in the 176 Columbia Turnpike retail center. With an optometry suite on-site, special attention was needed when owner-operator Dr. Katia Shteyn O.D. moved from her previous office into the new space.

In the vestibule of Cohen's Fashion Optical, two monitors were installed on the wall and equipped with software that displayed ads for the products offered on-site. An additional monitor installed in the waiting area for the optometry office kept customers waiting engaged.

Dr. Shteyn's optometry devices needed a hard-wired Ethernet connection to function, so an “along-wall” Ethernet jack was installed coming down from a drop ceiling. Along-wall cabling is a great solution when leases may not allow in-wall installation.
Media closet setup
Media closet setup
This location was equipped with in-ceiling Ethernet cabling, a multi-line and multi-handset phone system, an IPTV security system, and fast cable internet via the local provider. This setup allows all computers in the practice to stay networked without the latency of Wi-Fi, boosting productivity.
Complete equipment networking
Complete equipment networking
In the completed optometry room, all equipment requiring a dedicated Ethernet connection could be used through the along-wall Ethernet jack. With one network shared, computers in the physician's room elsewhere on site could connect to the equipment with a fast, low-latency link. This eliminated waiting time waiting for data to transfer.
